Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 12 October 2026 · Applies to www.emergencydebtline.co.uk

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Emergency Debt Line website and any enquiry you send through our contact forms. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Emergency Debt Line provides general information about UK debt options and can arrange a callback. We collect basic information about your enquiry. With your consent, we can introduce you to an FCA-authorised debt advice provider. That firm provides any personalised advice — not this website.

Contact: info@emergencydebtline.co.uk

2. Not personal advice

Content on this website is for general information only. It is not legal, financial or regulated advice tailored to your circumstances. Your situation may differ. If you need formal advice, that will come from an appropriately authorised person or firm after they assess your case.

3. Enquiries and contact

When you submit our contact form you confirm that the details you give are accurate so far as you know, that we may contact you by phone, email or related channels about your enquiry, and that your information may be stored in our CRM as described in the Privacy Policy (including retention for up to six years).

You must be 18 or over to submit an enquiry. If you are contacting us on behalf of someone else, you confirm you have their permission to share their details.

4. Introductions to partners

We share the details from our callback form with an FCA-authorised debt advice provider only if you tick the introduction box on that form. Marketing is a separate tick box. The provider has its own terms and privacy notice. Accepting an introduction does not oblige you to take up any product or solution.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse this website, including by:

  • Submitting false or abusive enquiries
  • Attempting to disrupt or hack the site
  • Scraping content for commercial reuse without permission

6. Availability

We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change or withdraw content without notice.

7. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general website content alone, or from temporary unavailability of the site. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under UK law.

8. Privacy

How we use personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, including CRM use and our usual six-year retention period.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If you continue to use the site after a change, the updated Terms apply to that use.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
